My first Burny

Postby dudeonguitar » Fri Apr 10, 2009 5:54 am

Hi all,

This is my first Burny..matter of fact my first Les Paul. It weighs a ton and the frets have been leveled to ground. I'm thinking of getting the frets replaced but I guess I'll wait till the buyer's remorse wears off :) Anyways here are the pics. The previous owner swapped the black knobs with Gold ones and put a APH-1n in. I believe the stock pups are VH4 and if my research is good enough, its a late 80's model. I'll peek into the neck pup cavity and let you know what's in there when I change the strings. Meanwhile any more info/confirmation will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,
Vinnie.

Hi,

What shape is the TRC, if its an original its usually a good indication of year. If that is an original pickup out of it, given the wire colour, yes it would be a late eighties, early nineties model. It I believe is a VH-1 one though, from what i understand they went back to calling them VH-1's in '88.
