A little bit "old" topic, but I'll chime in anyway.. Guitarzan knows my "hidden affair" with Gibson Europe anyway.. That's a different story, and not an interesting one, nevertheless.. :)
But to the topic.. I happen to have a "hybrid" of some sort, little modified, but nice and a great player. It has features of Std Elite, but is labeled Standard.. Inlays are MOP, top is quilted.. but the fingerboard is rsw, not ebony.

Roger, sorry the delay.. :)
It was built 21.09.1980 in Nashville TN.. Otherwise original, but the electronics have been modified, first by the "original owner" and then by me. The neck PU is "Logo PAF" from about -71 and the bridge PU is Shaw PAF with 4+ -wiring. And with "open top" cover from DiMarzio. (To show that it's a zebra)
